Balance of Nature secures the second spot on my list. This product is well known, but in my opinion it has some notable deficiencies, especially given its much higher price.
The ingredients in the Balance of Nature capsules are listed in alphabetical order. This isn’t really helpful for customers because it may actually hide which vegetables and fruits are the most prevalent in the formula. While many supplements have proprietary blends, the main ingredients by weight or concentration are generally listed first on the supplement panel in a formula blend.
Getting Two (2) bottles and taking Six (6) capsules DOES NOT usually mean more nutritional value to the consumer!!!
With fruits and veggies supplements, you have to trust that the company hasn’t bulked up the cheaper ingredients, such as the use of apple fiber or soybean as fillers while adding much smaller amounts of the more nutritious ones. This may be done just so the nutritious ingredients can be listed on the supplement label, regardless of whether their amounts are sufficient. It is difficult for me to trust Balance of Nature when reading their supplement panel.
KaraMD’s Pure Nature has a higher dose of high quality nutrients disclosed on it’s panel and Dr. Kara has carefully engineered a very potent 2,800 milligram delivery of super nutrients into ONLY Four (4) Capsules Per Day at a much better price!!!
Unfortunately, Balance of Nature also contains soybeans...what on earth were they thinking including soybean in their formula? Soy is an estrogenic ingredient that can lead to health issues. Soybeans are low in nutrition value, contain problematic substances like phytic acid, can cause allergies, and are already in many processed foods.
In my opinion, Balance of Nature falls critically short in several respects since it is very difficult to validate the level of its key ingredients, which appear to be less than experts recommend, and it contains soybeans.
From an economic standpoint, Balance of Nature is also significantly more expensive at $99.95 for JUST a 30-day supply.
